01
Wool
Wool is the most highly recommended yarn for rug and carpet production. Natural and durable, it is recommended for use in both residential and commercial projects. It creates a safe and relaxing environment thanks to its natural capabilities of air filtering and sound absorption. Last, but certainly not least, wool is essentially sustainable – forever healthy for our planet.

Semi-Worsted Wool
Semi-worsted wool is a very fine wool recommended for creating a gradual blend of colours and a fine design definition. Semi-worsted wool is formed of yarn from both the woollen and worsted carding process. In the woollen carding process, fibres of different lengths are carded and spun together to form the yarn. In the worsted carding process, only the longest lengths of the fibres are carded and spun together. All fibres are the same length producing a yarn that is consistent and smooth. Semi-worsted wool is a combination of both techniques, offering the long and regular fibres of worsted in a suitable yarn count for rug making. It offers a very soft touch and a feeling of luxury. It has more sheen than standard wool and is highly durable.

03
Regular Silk
This fibre is luxurious, naturally soft and shiny. It is recommended only for use in areas of low traffic on its own, or in higher traffic areas when used as an accent. Regular silk is the longest and strongest of all silk yarns. This silk is selected out of the first lengths of the cocoon. It offers excellent consistency and resilience during both the dyeing and the tufting process. Regular silk is extremely shiny, showing important colour contrasts when used in cut pile.

04
Dull Silk
Dull Silk is made from the loose fibre of a variety of Chinese silkworms. It has less sheen than regular silk and delicate silk. Due to the random strands of yarn after tufting process, it is not recommended to apply carving in this yarn. Dull silk has a low pile resilience and tends to flatten, however it wears very well and creates a soft, natural and vibrant texture.

05
Delicate Silk
This quality of silk has a very thin yarn count offering great level of softness. It is a processed silk produced with the fibre that is left at the end of the cocoon which is shorter and darker than those fibres used for regular silk. Delicate silk wears very well and offers incomparable softness. It also enables fantastic design definition, especially with subtle colour gradations, very thin lines and intricate motifs.

Silky Nylon
Silky Nylon is an advanced white dyeable polyamide fibre offering the aspect of silk. This yarn is soft with a high sheen. When used on its own it is suitable for medium traffic areas, but recommended to be used only as an accent for high footfall projects. It can be used as a replacement for silk to budget engineer a rug.

Shiny Nylon
This yarn has the appearance and texture of silk. Suitable for use within spaces where sheen is required as well as durability. As per Silky Nylon, Shiny Nylon is also an advanced white dyeable polyamide fibre. Less shiny and soft than Silky Nylon, but still very close to silk aspect, coupled with a 6.6 Nylon type, it excels in all four performance criteria: soil, stain, durability and dyeing results. It is especially recommended for heavy traffic and commercial areas.

Flax
Flax is a vegetal yarn and has no lanolin or any viscosity. The yarn is strong and wears well, but similar to dull silk, has a low pile resilience and tends to flatten. However, it has a beautiful chalky aspect which gives a delicate side lustre and textured effect. It can be either used for design accents along with other yarn types, or specified as plain.
